The Cutest Summer Handbag Dressed Up & Down.
I”m all for an accessory that can be multi-functional and this cute summer bamboo handbag is perfect for any summer outing. It can be paired with a sun dress and heels, a day at the beach, or just a casual get together with the girls!
My first look is what I would consider to be an American take on Euro casual. I often get inspired when I travel and see the way other women dress so I sometimes take ideas and apply them to my own wardrobe. The brand I’m wearing for both my top and pants is from Australia, so again I feel like I’ve found ways to incorporate other countries’ take on female fashion and give it my own personal touch.
I like loose, wavy curls for summer because here in Houston with our humidity levels often exceeding the 70% mark, curls are a bit of a fantasy. So instead of getting mad about it and spraying a whole can of chemical-infested hairspray all over my hair, I just let it fall. These pants are incredibly comfortable, light weight and the fabric is super soft! Anyone who knows me knows that I like to dress based on comfort, functionality, and aesthetic. I obviously want to look good in what I wear, but I also feel it’s equally important to FEEL good in what I put on my body. Summer temperatures in Houston are no joke so finding fabrics that are breathable is a huge plus for me. The white crop I’m wearing is also breathable with a square neckline adding a bit of sophistication to the whole look. Now to the most important part…. every girl’s best friend is her accessories!

For this look, I wanted to go for a more scaled-down casual look that is more fun and youthful. It’s a look you could wear out to meet friends for a drink but also something you could dress up later in the evening by adding a wedge and maybe trading your denim shorts in for a pair of Levi cropped straight leg jeans! Either way, this look just feels like summer in Texas!
These high waisted shorts from Abercrombie are one of my summer staples. They have a lot of stretch and for someone like me with long legs, they really show them off. This top is flirty and fun and I LOVE the ties at the shoulder. On hot summer days I often op for putting my hair up in a ponytail or bun. Adding a headband or hair piece can be a nice touch to add a pop of color or print to your look. I went for a leopard print to go with this neutral colored top. No matter how you decide to dress this summer, just remember to have FUN with it! Finding an accessory like the bamboo handbag is a great way to build a new look!
